Cappadocia has surprisingly good mobile and WiFi coverage. Here are your connectivity options.
eSIM (Recommended)

Local Turkish SIM
- Turkcell: Biggest network, best coverage
- Vodafone TR: Good rural coverage
- Türk Telekom: Cheap but slower
- SIM cost: 15-30€ including data
- Need passport at purchase
- Register within 120 days (ask vendor)

- Istanbul airport (easiest)
- Kayseri airport kiosks
- Göreme main street shops
- NOT recommended: hotel or tour operator
WiFi in Cappadocia
- Almost all hotels: free WiFi
- Cafes: free WiFi (may need password)
- Restaurants: most have WiFi
- Outdoor areas: weak/no signal
- Balloon flight: no signal
Mobile Coverage
- Göreme, Ürgüp, Uçhisar: Strong 4G/5G
- Valleys: Variable, weak in deep valleys
- Underground cities: No signal
- Remote hiking trails: Limited
Roaming Warning
- Turkey not in EU roaming zone
- US carrier roaming: $5-10/day
- EU carrier roaming: Expensive unless in plan
- Always check before travel
Recommendation
